October 28, 2024 (Waseca, MN)—The Minnesota Bankers Association (MBA) has recognized Keen Bank as a Community Champion for their contributions, service and support to their local community. Keen Bank is one of 84 Minnesota banks to receive this recognition. Banks play a vital role in their communities and to honor and recognize their involvement, the MBA created the Community Champion recognition program.
In the wake of another challenging year for many, Minnesota bankers stepped up their efforts to give back to their communities and citizens. Just during the MBA’s September Community Impact Month alone, the 84 banks and 383 branches devoted more than 3,600 volunteer hours, completed hundreds of community service projects, and donated tens of thousands of dollars to charitable organizations. In total, more than 244 distinct communities in Minnesota were impacted by their efforts. Keen Bank participated in MBA’s Community Impact Month in September by volunteering at Community Pathways of Steele County.
“Minnesota banks provide an extraordinary level of commitment to the communities they serve,” said MBA President/CEO Joe Witt. “In addition to providing the capital that helps families and local businesses thrive, the banking industry’s record of supporting charitable and community causes is second to none. The MBA is pleased to recognize Keen Bank for its commitment to making a real difference in their local communities.”
